El-Ekbal Language School

El-Ekbal’s project was establishing a start-up that provides a waste management solution for solid waste. They came out with a big idea of collecting all types of solid waste through a mobile application that they have designed on their own. However, the mentors suggested to start by 2 types of waste only (paper & plastic waste) then they can expand. Their work included 2 stages: first, they communicated withmost of the recycling factories in Alexandria, Cairo and other governorates to know the selling price of the collected waste, in parallel, they worked on designing the mobile app (Ozzowa). In order to minimize the collection fees and complicated logistics at the beginning of their project, they started the collection process through their school.
