 Eco-friends Schools’ Mentoring Program

 Eco-friends Schools’ Mentoring Program

Towards achieving sustainable consumption and production (SDG#12), Lampa partnered with Karakeeb Makerspace and Young People’s Library in Bibliotheca Alexandrina to conduct Eco-friends Schools’ Mentoring Program. Eight anglophone schools have participated in the 4-month mentoring program to learn about sustainability and sustainable development goals. The program started with a group of sessions and workshops introducing sustainability, SDGs, sustainable living style, carbon and water footprints, and the sustainable production and consumption cycle. Concluded by a competition, every school team was mentored to come out with a sustainable projects/solution contribute to solving an existing environmental problem while considering all aspects of sustainability (environmental, social and economic aspects). Besides the main theme of the program (SDG#12), number of the SDGs were achieved such as SDG #4, SDG #11, SDG #13, SDG #14, SDG # 15 and SDG #17
